Review: Charming the Highlander

Charming the Highlander Charming the Highlander by Janet Chapman
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The story started off right, the characters were robust, the plot had promise, and the immediate chemistry between Greylyn and Grace was electric. Somewhere close to the forst quarter of the book however, everything sorta fell apart.

In one story we had time traveling Highlanders ( that for some reason have no accent, even though it is written that only Greylyn lost his ), a wizard, 1 dead sister, a 12 toed baby boy, some awkwardly underwritten love triangle, a kidnapping, loads of misundetstandings, loss of virginity, a wedding, a funeral, and the birth of 7 daughters. Oh, did I mention our heroine was also a mathematical physicist? There was simply too much going on for me to connect well with anything.
