Review: The Girl from Summer Hill: A Summer Hill Novel

The Girl from Summer Hill: A Summer Hill Novel The Girl from Summer Hill: A Summer Hill Novel by Jude Deveraux
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yes, yes, a thousand times yes! Jude Deveraux has done it again and I am so grateful that she has!

From the very first sentence until the final acknowledgements I was hooked on this story. I'll admit to being a bit apprehensive when I read the chapter outline. As a huge Jane Austen fan, I couldn't possibly imagine anyone rewriting one of Ms. Austen's best works and said rewrite being even half as good as the original. I loved how Ms. Deveraux spun the tale, put on a play, and kept to the original book.

I laughed at many parts of this book, some I had to literally stop reading due to the "laughter tears".Having nothing in common with these characters, I still found myself connecting with them and really able to feel their emotions. Ms. Deveraux did an excellent job with this book and I can't wait for it to go on sale so all of my friends can read it.

I received a free copy via Netgalley.com in exchange for my honest opinion.
