Marleigh's Newborn Blanket

As my earlier blog stated, I had to make two blankets for sweet Marleigh.....

I used a size 4.25 mm hook and ww yarn. Any hook and yarn will work though.

I crocheted 8 squares of each other and attached them together with a single crochet seam. I then added a row of granny squares in white the combined squares. After this, I made a shell stitch into each ch-sp and fastened off. Ta-da!

Here's the finished product laid out. By using the variegated yarn I was able to take a simple pattern and make it completely unique.
